   RenderWare(tm) v3.1 Demonstration Program (sky): Material-effects

PURPOSE

The MATFX1 example illustrates how to use the RpMaterialEffects plugin.
The example shows how to create and manipulate clumps with environment- 
maps, bump-maps, environment and bump-maps together, and dual-texturing.

GENERAL CONTROLS

Left Analogue Stick      - Rotates the clump.

Right Analogue Stick     - Moves the clump towards or away from the camera.

SELECT button            - Toggle menu/help/plain mode.

START+SELECT             - Quit the application.

MENU OPTIONS

MATERIAL EFFECT          - Toggles the current material effects.
                           
EFFECT TYPE              - Allows the user to switch between objects that 
                           illustrate different material effects.

ENVIRONMENT-MAP          - Allows the user to select a different texture 
                           to use as an environment-map.

ACTIVE MATERIAL          - Allows the user to select which materials are
                           affected by the environment-map.

SHININESS                - Allows the user to vary the intensity of the 
                           reflection of the environment-map.

BUMP-MAP                 - Allows the user to select a different clump 
                           with a different bump-map.

ACTIVE MATERIAL          - Allows the user to select which materials are
                           affected by the bump-map.

BUMPINESS                - Allows the user to vary the magnitude of the 
                           bump-mapping.

SPIN LIGHT               - Allows the user to rotate the directional 
                           light around the object.

FPS                      - Allows the user to read the number of frames 
                           per second being rendered (updated every
                           second).

MENU CONTROLS

DPAD UP and DOWN        - Select menu item.

DPAD LEFT and RIGHT     - Modify menu item value or execute associated 
                          command.

Left analogue stick     - Modify floating point value (if applicable) 
                          otherwise do what you would do in general 
                          controls.

HELP CONTROLS

DPAD UP and DOWN         - Scroll a line at a time (autorepeat available).

LEFT SHOULDER #1 and #2  - Scroll a page at a time.

VIDEO MODE SELECTION

The command-line option '-vms' can be used to enable a simple video 
selection screen, which appears before the application starts running. 
Use the UP and DOWN DPAD buttons to highlight the required video
mode and press START to make the selection. Note there are several pages
of video modes; use the LEFT SHOULDER buttons to move from page to page.
